Zoran Paunović – PAUN
I was born in 1968 in Sarajevo, where I lived until I was eighteen. I served in the army in Niš, where I made many friends and decided to continue my life there. One of those friends is Hadži Dejan Nikolić, an outstanding icon and fresco painter. In 2008 he became my teacher and mentor in icon painting. Since then I have been painting icons and frescoes, assisting Dejan. In 2011 I brought some of my works to Moračnik Monastery on Lake Skadar; fortunately they were then viewed and blessed by the late Metropolitan Amfilohije Radović of Montenegro and the Littoral.
From that day to this I have painted many icons and frescoes. My icons are found in many homes and churches in Serbia and abroad (America, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Germany, Switzerland, and elsewhere).
