This website was created so I can present my work and effort to as many people as possible. I paint icons (with fasting and prayer), using the same materials that great monastery icon painters have used since ancient times (wood panel, natural rabbit-skin glue, chalk ground, egg tempera and pigments, gold, resin…), following the canons of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
A gift from heaven for everyone, especially for icon painting—whether you feel you have it or not… My models are old values and spirituality; the icons I follow are ancient ones, and I strive to copy them faithfully. Each icon shown has its price and can be ordered; making an icon usually takes about 15–30 days, and some compositions (feasts, many figures, etc.) need longer. Icons are unique—there is no moment when a person can paint two identical ones. A buyer unfamiliar with the craft cannot truly grasp their value. I want you to take part in creating icons with me and understand everything—I do not see you as ordinary customers. Therefore, with God’s blessing, on the next page I will try to describe, as far as words allow, the labor required to make one icon.
